Northwood Vacation Lodgings is a service of Vacation Savers,
LLC. As part of it's services, Vacation Savers also handles the reservations for privately
owned cabins such as yours.
Here’s how Northwoods Vacation Lodgings
can benefit you:
We’re open all year, seven days a
week. You presently may be working and can only return calls when
you get home from work. You may be answering calls during dinnertime or evenings when you’d rather be relaxing with your
family. The faster a call is returned, the more likely you will get
your reservations.
Each property we represent has its
own web page with photos of every major room, text that promotes the
property, a listing of amenities, special rates, and up-to-date
availability calendars.
You can still handle whatever
reservations you
wish. You can have free bookings for friends and family. You can
block out dates as you wish.
You can set your seasons, rates, and
rental items such as boats, motors, linens, etc.
You can set whether or not you allow
smoking and/or pets.
There are no up-front costs to you. We
handle web advertising and property page set-up. We work on a
commission basis; if we don't get a reservation for you, you don't
pay.
There are no annual fees. You may
presently be paying for a web site and web presence on sites that
post links to your web site.
We
have a toll-free phone number that increases the chances a potential
renter will call.
We collect
and pay sales/lodging taxes for any reservation we make for
you. If you decide you still wish to handle reservations, you are
responsible for any taxes incurred.
We submit our site to search engines such as
Yahoo, Google, AOL, etc. to
maintain as high a placement as possible.
We require a security deposit from
renters to cover accidental breakage or
extra cleaning required.
According
to our customers, our web
site is easy to use and we offer extra benefits such as:
links to the surrounding chambers
so the renters can see what is going on in the area during their
stay,
where to rent boats/motors,
snowmobiles, etc.,
activities for kids,
where to downhill or
cross-country ski,
even the location of casinos.
Getting Started
In order to rent your property, you must check on county and
town ordinances to see if permits are required. Once permits are granted, the State of Wisconsin
requires that your cabin be inspected for the health and safety of your future renters.
Inspections are done on an annual basis as are well water tests.
Unless you are doing the cleaning of your rental property between rentals,
we recommend you hire a cleaner and a caretaker that live in the same area as your cabin.
Because we cover such a large area of the Northwoods, we cannot oversee these services.
