Because the Northwoods is such a large area, we cannot list all the trails on this site. Instead we are listing links to sites that give regional coverage. Some are private, some are not; most ask for a fee or donation to maintain the trails. Most links give access information and maps. Not all trails are available of snowshoeing or off-road biking.

Northwest Wisconsin

"Cross Country Ski Northwest Wisconsin" has a publication in addition to the online guide.

This guide covers the area from Superior WI on the west to Mercer on the East; from Bayfield on the north to Hwy. 8 on the south.

Northeast Wisconsin / Upper Peninsula MI

Northwood Wisconsin.com posts a page showing the trails for a the area from east of Mercer to Three Lakes on the east and from parts of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Rhinelander on the south.
